The Texas Association of Business will hold its first education conference focusing on public school accountability on November 19, 2015 in Austin.

The conference will focus on three areas of the state's public school accountability system:

A full discussion of the proven role a strong accountability system plays in improving student achievement and ensuring that students graduate career and college ready.
An exploration of ways to implement the state's new A-F school grading system that will provide real transparency of results to parents and the public, serve as a fair way of evaluating schools, and provideuseful data to promote greater success in schools.
A discussion led by some of the best experts and practitioners in the nation on specific actions the agency and school leaders can take to use data produced by the accountability system to improve teaching and learning on our classrooms.

This conference will be structured to help Texas make it's accountability system strong, fair and useful. It will feature among many valuable presenters and panelists and keynote by former U.S. Secretary of Education Margaret Spellings.
